Morning Class: 9:30-11:30, M/T/W/Th (Weekly)
Afternoon Class: 12:30-2:30, T/W/Th (Weekly)
Cost: $15.00/day, $100 deposit upon registration (online)
Length: Kinder Kids is a 10-month, consistent, school-year program. The goal is for each participant to begin in September and finish through to June, in order to capitalize on the content learnt within the program.

Children at the preschool age love to explore and learn new things. They enjoy participating in dramatic and sensory play, using their imaginations and developing their motor skills as they grow more independent each day. At Kinder Kids, a great deal of thought and effort goes into preschool education. Developing and implementing age appropriate curriculum with teachable moments is our main focus.

Children in our program learn through play. By learning through play, with the different centres set up around the classroom, they will develop fine and gross motor skills, cognitive skills and social and emotional skills. We focus on name recognition, learning how to write their first name, oral, visual and writing introduction to letters, letter sounds and what words begin with each letter. We also introduce numbers, shapes and colours along with learning different patterns.

Throughout the year we also celebrate many special holidays and events. We celebrate each child’s birthday in our classroom including half birthdays (Summer birthdays), Halloween family costume dance party, and at Christmas, the children put on a mini Christmas concert and following we enjoy a potluck together. We also celebrate in our classroom, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day. We have special event days like Crazy Hair Day, PJ Day, Backwards Day, etc. During our Community Helpers unit, we have people from our community come in and share about their job.

At the end of the year, there is a graduation to celebrate the achievement of our graduates or to celebrate those kids moving onto year 2 of Kinder Kids. We try to go on at least 1-2 field trips per year. These field trips can include trips to the library, fire station or a local farm.
