Different neighbourhood associations are composed of different elements, but a common model (and the model HVNA follows) is of a volunteer board of directors, overseeing a paid staff which organizes and directs the other staff and volunteers. The Board is composed of the following positions:

  1. President
  2. Vice President
  3. Treasurer
  4. Secretary
  5. Member at Large

The paid staff, which is decided upon by the board, features the following positions:

  1. Recreation Coordinator
  2. Program Coordinator
  3. Little Learner Instructor
  4. Little Learner Assistant
  5. Yoga Instructor
  6. Recreation & Summer Playground Leaders

The paid staff helps coordinate the volunteers. The above positions would be very ineffective if it wasn’t for our community and dedicated volunteers. Each division of HVNA is essential and complementary, just as each part of the body is essential for running in a race.

Paths of Cooperation

Below is a flowchart detailing the paths of cooperation and responsibility in the HVNA organization. This is also the reporting structure of the association.
